How to Download a Wattpad Story as PDF
WP Downloader lets you save any public WP story as a formatted PDF file in seconds. Here’s how.
What you need
- A WP story URL
- A free Discord account (required for PDF generation)
Steps
1. Copy the story URL
Open the story on the Wattpad website or app. Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar. It will look like:
https://www.wattpad.com/story/123456789-story-title2. Go to WP Downloader
Visit wpd.my and paste the story URL into the input field.
3. Select PDF as your format
Click the PDF button in the Format section. If you see “Requires sign-in”, you’ll need to connect your Discord account first (step 4).
4. Sign in with Discord
Click Sign in with Discord and authorise WP Downloader. You only need to do this once. Your account details are never stored beyond your session.
5. Click Download
Hit the Download button. Your PDF will be generated and downloaded to your device within seconds.
Tips
- Include images: Enable the Include Images toggle to embed cover and chapter images in your PDF. This takes slightly longer.
- Slow internet? Leave the download running - it continues in the background.
Troubleshooting
The download button is greyed out - make sure you’ve pasted a valid WP story URL and signed in with Discord.
The PDF is missing chapters - some stories have chapters locked behind login. You can use the Paid Story option if you’ve purchased access.
The file won’t open - try a different PDF reader. All modern internet browsers open WP Downloader PDFs correctly.
